Real World Online Monopoly

Mlive_1

This is just nuts!  Hasbro has created an online real world version of monopoly.  You select 1 of 18 GPS fitted cabs in  London as your board game piece.  You have no control as to where it goes, but wherever it does go you can buy properties the real world properties (owning it in virtual space of course) and collect rent from it every time another players cab lands on your property.  You can compete with up to 5 friends online and for everytime you make 1 million pounds you are entered into a draw that might even win you 1 year of rent (limited at 10,000 pounds).  Check it out here (via:Kotaku)

The Game Chair

Cool game review site.  Basic idea is a game gets reviewed once when the game breaks, then again later, and again later.  So basically we'll get a better idea of the games lasting ability. Check out The Game Chair

Nokia 770 Instant Internet Surfer

770If this device comes out and the service is reasonably priced, I’m sold.  Rumored to cost less than US $350, this mobile web browser will feature tablet like functionality with handwriting recognition, Bluetooth and wifi.  Now I’m most curious as to if we’ll be able to access the internet via cellular networks when we’re not in range of wifi. But still it will be pretty pimp to have this sitting around the house and be able to just surf while your sitting on the toilet and not have to wait for the load up time of a tablet.  (Via:Gizmodo)

StealthSwitch

Stealthswitch1This is an interesting new switch, I suppose the purpose is to put it on the floor step on as an alternative to alt tabbing.  So your porn or game window switches into something innocent like an excel window.  Check it out here (Via:Engadget)

Bug-eyed lens for camera phones

Flyeye Everyone knows camera phone pictures suck, I mean they look kinda nice on the phone but you’d never print them out or make them the wallpaper for your high res monitor right? The main reason probably has to due with the fact that the lenses are usually horrible. New bug eyed shaped lens may help the quality get better.  Basically a compound lens can be made from hundred of tiny “micro lenses” and make the lens really tiny and hopefully improve quality as well.
