Lego Star Wars - mini versions

Mini_falcon
I came across this one here at Gizmodo.  Everyone's seen the insane thousand piece Millennium Falcon Lego set, well an exceedingly creative guy by the name of Tim Goddard decided to take those thousand pieces and make 200 mini star wars ships.  I suppose you could say he used the basic principles of Lego and created enough ships to re-enact any Starwars scene he would like.  I hope he puts together instructions and Lego throw him a bone for his efforts.  Flickr gallery here.

USB Missle Launcher

Mislau_lg
Although being marketed as an office toy, I can't see this foam missle launcher being found in any serious office.  However this is still a cool yet very stupid toy.  Hook it up to your computer and you can launch foam missles in pretty much any direction you'd like.  Get one here

Otoizm - Tamagotchi for your mp3 player

Otoizm

I think this is a clever twist on the old Tamagotchi pet simulator gimmick.  Basically you hook up this little Konami product called the Otoizm and depending one what music you play, a different sim pet will evolve.  There are 19 different evolutions, I’m imagining its somewhat based on what music you play, so if your playing your J-pop all day then feed your sim-pet a health dose of drum and bass you may end up with a very strange looking pet.  (via:we-make-money-not-art)

R2D2 – The ultimate toy!

R2_d2

Mammacher Sclemmer made a voice- activated R2D2.  This thing looks incredible and responds to over 40 different voice commands ranging from “Turn Around” to “Behave Yourself!”  I suppose it makes all the annoying chirps and whirls and has mood swings and in general tries to give any Star Wars geek the most realistic R2D2 money can buy for US$ 119.95. This thing really is a bargain and if I was ever to quit collecting toys, this would be the last one I get.  Hrmmm its my birthday coming up maybe I should treat myself!
