King Lines

Watched this Documentary ages ago, but after blogging about the Boulder like building in Columbia I thought I'd throw this up on my blog. Chris Sharma is nuts!

Sennheiser – sporty earphones

Senn_sporty

I’ve only ever owned one crazy pair of earphones and those were B&O earphones but these new sport range earphones from Sennheiser just might be my next pair of expensive earphones. The reason, basically they are designed for sports, lately I’ve discovered that most earphones just don’t hack it when it comes to sports and on top of that Sennheiser is a brand that I trust. I do have questions about the sound quality, if they will be comfy when sweat is pouring down your head and if they are sound canceling. If I find out more and they fufill my requirements I’ll invest in a pair. Read more here (via:Gizmodo)

DUDE CHECK OUT MY Gotive H42 PDA

Gotive_h42 This is definately made for your weekend warrior or your techy surfer/snow boarder dude.  The screen is ridiculously wide at 6.2", runs Windows Mobile 5.0 on a 520Mhz Intel CPU.  Comes with all the standard bells and whistles you would expect from one of these things WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM.  But the key thing is its shock proof and I haven't read that its waterproof but I'm guessing it is.  Basically this is the hardcore version of your pda phone. More details (in French) here (via: ubergizmo)

Flowlab Bullit – the snowboarders skateboard

Flowlab

This thing looks absurd but basically it allows skateboarders to carve the pavement the way a snowboarder does.  SO if you’re an off-season snowboarder looking to re-live the winter slopes on the pavement, check it out here, and check out a video here. (via:OhGizmo!)

Laser Guided Pool Cue

Lasercue

Trust the geeks to develop a way to make pool a techie sport. This pool cue is regulation size and weight, however I think the laser pointer set in the pool cue tip is probably illegal. I suppose using this pool cue you’ll be able to hit the cue ball exactly on the spot you want to. I doubt it will improve your game much if you don’t know what you’re doing, but this sounds like a great training investment. Get one here for $50 USD.  (via:Oh!Gizmo)

Nike and Bausch & Lomb’ MaxSight performance-enhancing lenses

NikecontactsThese things look scary, kinda make people look possessed. However they are meant to help sports by reducing glare and increasing contrast. Some professional baseball players are already using them. Imagine a guy running at you full speed with these spooky red eyes! (Via: Engadget)

Not And1 but just as mind-blowing!

No idea if these shots are for real, but the boys of DC made a video of some insane shots that were made either digitally or with a lot of practice. Kinda reminds me of that old MCDs commercial with MJ and Bird, off the rafter, off the seat, over the train nothing but net!

Check it out here (via:Boing Boing)

NIKE SPEED ROPE!!

Nsr
I may be a glued to my computer or gaming consoles nearly 24/7 but I do try and get some exercise.  These days my main form of exercise is skipping (or jumping rope).  At first I was using a ghetto skipping rope that was too long and for some reason was for ever tangled.  Recently I've upgraded to the Rolls Royce of skipping ropes, the Nike Speed Rope!

Sounds silly I know, its just a jumping rope but they've called it SPEED ROPE, don't you love Nike branding?  Anyhow this thing has got engineered handles and uses really high quality materials.  To be honest its very comfortable and makes a difference to my daily work out.  Not so sure this is that blog worthy but I just can't get over the name SPEED ROPE!!

n.b. my rate of skipping remains the same i've gained no speed as a result of using nike
