With my own honeymoon coming up, I'm desperately seeking a new camera that will take some nice photos. While I've been drooling over the Sigma DP1 for the last few months this Olympus might be a better idea, coming with its own specially designed fixed lens and holding the title of smallest DSLR, maybe just maybe this will be portable enough to not require a neck massage every night! Read more here at dpreview.

I came across this here at OhGizmo! This BrickHouseSecurity.com product is spying made easy! Basically take any sim shove it in a PC and you can see the complete Sim card contact and SMS history, even deleted ones!
Jealous spouses and over protective parents rejoice! All sorts of legal problems with this product depending where you live but you can grab one for $149US.

Came across this here at Engadget. Seems that Apple is really pushing hard with all thsi multi touch technology. I'm not really sure how or why you can patent gestures but it seems that they're doing it. Apple products are great, but you gotta love how Apple can scoff off anyone having innovation asides from them, when they've taken all the basic ideas and patented them. But I suppose if you can patent the pinch motion you can patent anything. Heck I think for a while Sega had a patent for changing cameras in racing games.

I'm a rather dedicated notebook user, my now sputtering CL56 has seen better days and can't even boot up anymore unless its plugged in. I'm hoping to get a few months more out of my notebook before I move on.
Now when I picked up my notebook 3 years ago I was looking for a desktop replacement that I could bring around. I was to be stationed in China and Japan for long periods at a time and figured I definitely need a system that can allow me to game! The CL56 was a Compal notebook sold by a company called Stamp Computers made.
ODM (original design manufactures) is something that not everyone knows about. Basically there are a few unknown Taiwanese companies such as Compal and Quanta that design and produce prototypes of notebooks. With these prototypes in hand they run off to big companies like Lenovo, HP, Dell, and Sony and pimp their wares. These big names then say OK we like this product makes us a million of these with our patent brand name and brand name features. The big name companies then go on to sell there brand name notebooks at a higher price. You can check out a relationship of notebook companies here.
So back to the point, I want to get something small, and can game a bit or render 3d images when I need to and most importantly I can get online everywhere. The new craze in Hong Kong which will soon become the norm is 3g internet. the U6S has a built in 3G modem which is pretty cool, its small and still has a dedicated graphics card. Asus is the ODM for Sony, so either I can pick up the lesser known Asus which isn't too shabby looking and suffers poor battery life. Or wait for an Asus under the Sony moniker pay more but hope that it has a better battery life.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see when my CL56 finally dies and I need to get a notebook to see whats on the market.

Not sure if this is a concept or a real product. Seeing as its on Yanko design here. Its most likely another fantastic idea that has not quite made it to production. I think the picture is worth a thousand words on this product. Wonder if they will make an iPhone version with some decent ear buds!

The more I read about this camera the more I lust for it, due out Spring I'm hope it reviews well and doesn't end up costing $7000HK. I will gladly sacrifice Zoom to get this camera as my ultimate travel camera! Just announced at PMA 2008, Sigma said Spring, so as long as its out before my big trip to Spain, looks like I'll be getting this!
*edit* did some more reading, turns out a F/4 lens is rather rubbish for low light, so there goes my hopes for the ultimate low light street photography machine

I've wanted a Harmony remote for a while and as I'll soon be moving out I can sorta justify getting one on my own. The Harmony 660 which I've wanted for a long long time, is sold out in HK, and I'm actually rather glad that I never got around to picking it up, because now the Harmony One is coming out, I think I'll just get one of these. Small problem is that I've got to wait for the UK version to come out before a HK version comes out because there are no adapters for the charging station. Would hate to get this one then end up frying it on the wrong current! Check it out here
