Hacked - 2GD flash drive

Hacked_648
Came across this here at OhGizmo.  This is really damn cool, if you've ever wanted to look like a thief that ran away with someone else's notebook computer, this is the flash drive for you!

Nalgene Latern Cap - cool beans!

Lightcap200
Came across this here at OhGizmo.  This one is definately for the campers, the cap basically soaks up energy then when you want it to lights up your Nalgene bottle like a low powered lamp.  I guess if your carrying around anything but water the effects are a bit different!

Thunder - striking down iPhone?

Blackberry9500
I came across this here at engadget.  Looks a bit too much like the iPhone, but without going into the details of whats under the hood, this might just be the only phone that could beat the iPhone!

Twisty UI - everyone is aiming for iPhone

Twisty
Came across this here at OhGizmo.  Seems MS is developing a twisting UI for portable devices, you can squeeze and twist the machine to pull up different required functions.  If they manage to lock it down into some new version of Windows Mobile and it becomes a platform, everyone is going to love MS again.

Picture Frame Speakers - good idea but...

Photoframespeakers
Came across this here at OhGizmo.  More and more in todays world we neglect actual photos.  We all seem to love having screen savers with photos but less and less do we actually have real photos.  This set of speakers probably provides really tin quality sound, but its still a good idea.  Getting some real photos back onto our precious desktop space!

Nokia Shoot to Translate - I need one of these!

Nokia_shoot_to_translate
Came across this here at OhGizmo!  I shamelessly being Chinese can not read Chinese.  I should get one of these as my street dictionary and starting learning my own language.  Details on this application are sparse but it seems Nokia is developing a killer ap for business men in China.  See some Chinese take a picture with your Nokia and it translates! Fantastic idea!

Rechargeable Outdoor Candles - Stupid

Rechargeable_candles
Came across this here at OhGizmo!  Its a fake candle you can recharge.  I suppose I could see some really obscure situation where one might need this, but no, in the end this is stupid.

Said Karlsson DP1 Night Photography

2330209997_b50a5d6fc9
A fellow called Said Karslsson keeps a blog with a bunch of samples of his Sigma DP1 at work in the night.  Check it out here.  He also has impressions about how the camera performs, from what I can tell you gotta get a zippy SD card and know your settings, but these photos look amazing.

LucidTouch - iPhone killer?

Lucidtouch
Came across this here at Gizmodo.  First off you really gotta hand it to apple, they really make some innovative stuff, and it always looks stunning. OK so the technology inside is never bleeding edge but the UI and thoughtfulness always make up for it, and then everyone else desperately tries to cloan or 1up it hence the moniker iSOMETHING killer.  I love the symbiotic relationship between Apple and PC.  I swear Steve and Bill have some secret deal going, Ok you make the cool stuff, I'll make mainstream crap.

Long and short of this LucidTouch, seems it will be some sort of transparent LCD touch screen device where by touch inputs are found on the rear of the screen.  This actually makes a hell of a a lot of sense for hand held devices.  One thing that has always annoyed me about NDS is the  way you've got to hold that damn thing in order to actually play anything.  So hopefully this PocketPC(?) Phone(?) Hand held gaming device(?) will development into more than just a tech demo and be a well thought out device.
