R2D2 – The ultimate toy!

R2_d2

Mammacher Sclemmer made a voice- activated R2D2.  This thing looks incredible and responds to over 40 different voice commands ranging from “Turn Around” to “Behave Yourself!”  I suppose it makes all the annoying chirps and whirls and has mood swings and in general tries to give any Star Wars geek the most realistic R2D2 money can buy for US$ 119.95. This thing really is a bargain and if I was ever to quit collecting toys, this would be the last one I get.  Hrmmm its my birthday coming up maybe I should treat myself! Get one here (via: Oh Gizmo!)

Transporter 2

49m Well it finally came out in HK, and well I was really dissappointed.  They made Frank Martin into some softy baby sitter, it was better when he was a bit of a hardass who was just too horny to say no to Hsu Chi.  The action was OK but overall it was just too damn corny and my eyeballs spent too much of the movie rolling into the back of my head.  I really liked Transporter, and I even enjoyed the idea of the movie, but this one was just too cheesy even for a movie fan like me that enjoys almost all sorts of drivel at some level or another.  Guess I was just expecting too much.

Doom250a

This new Doom trailer is definitely for the game geeks, looks like Doom is going to have a lot of First Person Shooter point of view, it’s a must see for anyone that has played a lot of FPS games. Check it out here (Thanks: Micheal)

Halo the Movie

Halo_keystone

It seems that Microsoft has just signed a deal with Universal and Twentieth Century Fox to make the movie version of Halo. Seeing as this game is so insanely popular I’m sure that quite a few people will check it out. As long as its not a movie directed by Uwe Boll (check this link to see a poll of what people think of his game movies) I’m sure it will be an entertaining movie. (via: News.com, Kotaku)

Max Payne Fox movie

MxpynThese days it seems every studio is trying to do a video game or a comic book.  The latest one that I've heard of it Max Payne.  This actually doesn't sound so bad seeing as well Max Payne is pretty much a cheesy action movie made into a game with the John Woo famous slow motion bullet time camera work.  No actors have been named but lets just hope that John Woo directs this one!  (via: Kotaku)

American MeGee's Alice in Wonderland the movie

Alice2all2dI was glued to my computer when I played this game 4 years ago.  It seems that a movie version based on American McGee's Alice in Wonderland is in production.  It will star Michelle Gellar and be directed by Marcus Nispel.  The basic story line surrounds Alice escaping from a mental asylym after her parents died in a fire.  I hope they keep the trippy American McGee version of Alice's clothes in tact, and I hope the overall movie feels as trippy as the game.  (via: Kotaku)

Dead or Alive movie

Dead_or_aliveTechmo and Constantine films have annouced the filming of a 'Dead or Alive' movie.  Cory Yuen will direct this action flick that will star Devon Aoki (sin city, 2 fast 2 furious) Jamie Pressly, Kane Kosugi and Kevin Nash will all star in this movie.  I hate to state the obvious but well the girls of DoA are really really really well endowed as hot as some of these girls in the movie are well comparitively speaking they're just not up to par!  (via:Kotaku)

Vin Disel as Agent as Agent 47

HitmanPersonally I haven’t played a whole lot of Hitman but I know many people that love this game.  Seems we’re soon to have the movie version of Hitman starring Vin Diesel.  I suppose he’s bald but as for the rest I don’t know if it will be a good fit.  (via: Joystiq)
