Logitech G5, review (preliminary)

I just got myself a G5 mouse.  I must admit I haven't played any games with it yet, however the footing of the mouse really does make the mouse feel silky smooth in movement.  The build quality of the mouse is incredible, even the mouse cord is rope instead of that plastic mouse cable material giving the cord a whole lot more flexibility.  I'm still messing around with the weights and sensitivity in order to find my comfort zone, but I was really surprised at what a difference the weights of the mouse made.  All I can say is that if you can live with the form factor of the mouse, the built quality is REALLY high and it moves really smoothly against any surface you'd normally put a mouse on. 

In terms of gaming that will have to wait for another day, but I'm guessing great things!

FINALLY GOT MY COMPUTER BACK!

I've been VERY quiet, due to the loss of my computer.  I've finally got it up and running and all my basic programs are almost reinstalled!  Will start posting again regularly soon!

computer dead again

OK so lately i've been posting next to 0, the reason once again is my damn computer died again!!!! ARGGHHH i'm very close to giving up on my CL56 and going back to computers, if after this time in the shop it isn't fixed i give eup!

Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion working on my CL56

I just picked up a copy of Oblivion and I'm quite pleased to discover it works on my workhorse notebook CL56.  The specs on my notebook are as follows Pentium M 1.7, 128Meg ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, 1 Gig Ram. 

I've managed to get it working with distance land and distance trees on (which according to a lot of reviews is a must).  However the texture maps, shadows etc etc are all on low or off. 

Suffice to say if you have a computer of this spec, and its healthy, you should be able to run a pretty decent level of Oblivion.

Uwe Bowel is going to ruin Starcraft

Someone please kill this man before he ruins every possible video game movie.  He's set to direct a new trilogy about STARCRAFT.  Basically this guy takes game licenses, makes them into movies, makes a profit on some sort of German Tax loop and ruins the movie in the process  Blizzard what have you done, you've just ruined your holy franchise! Hong Kong Rugby Sevens

The crazy weekend of drunken rugby is over.  A thrilling final with England taking home the cup.  First sevens for me in a while, I'll definately be going next year!
