I feel weak at the knees. I have this feeling I’m going to do something stupid like order these stickers and start posting them in my room on my notebook on anything that I can manage to stick them too! The net is buzzing with this one. It seems that Nintendo applied for a paten in July 2004 and just received it on Feb 2nd 2006. It seems to outline the possibility for the next DS or a DS upgrade, the main thing is that it will have the ability to have multiple contact points on the touch screen. This is similar to the Apple patent, great to see Nintendo pushing forward on new innovation. But this sorta thing always looks suspiciously like a prank. Read more here (via: Joystiq)
This looks like the ultimate geek luxury item. Not sure how big the screen is (or if its heated to insure no fog up) but it does have a built in dvd player and jacuzzi jets. Why they included a floating remote control is beyond me, it would have been cooler to have a panel in the tub you can just use to control. This would be great for watching porn when your in the tub with your loved ones, my only gripe is that how am I suppose to hook my consoles into this machine and not get electrocuted during use? Basically this is what you think it is, bookdrive will automatically flip through your books, scan crop and output your textbooks into a digital format. Now they make no mention on the website as to if the “digital format” is a document, image or pdf. If its just an image then in my opinion it isn’t much use, you can’t search it and it will probably take up a good chunk of hard disk space. This beast will cost you $50,000 USD, unless you plan on boot legging books, you might as well just buy the books and lug them around instead of being a smart ass and having it in your PDA. I think this is a clever twist on the old Tamagotchi pet simulator gimmick. Basically you hook up this little Konami product called the Otoizm and depending one what music you play, a different sim pet will evolve. There are 19 different evolutions, I’m imagining its somewhat based on what music you play, so if your playing your J-pop all day then feed your sim-pet a health dose of drum and bass you may end up with a very strange looking pet. This is one of those cases of a picture is worth a million words. The only thing worth while mentioning that you can’t really tell from the picture is that this fridge holds a 5 litres keg of beer. It will set you back a pretty penny at $1100 USD, but then again it is a fridge that stores a fair bit of food. Get one here (via:Gizmodo)
