It seems that there are more rumors flying around the net again about the revolution, this time its on the finalized specs. Seems its gonna have a lot more beef than a lot of people expected, I’m still hoping for a great showing by the Revolution. Here’s the low down: • 1 IBM Custom PowerPC 2.5 GHz (dual-thread) with 256 KB Level-1 and 1MB of Level-2 cache (L3 cache is rumored)
• ATI Custom based RN520 core
• 13 billion dot product per second
• 600 MHz.
• 2048x1268 max resolution
• 256 MB’s of 1T-SRAM
• 32 shader pipelines
• Peak Geometry Performance: 500 million tri/sec
• Peak Shader Performance: ~50 billion shader ops/sec
• system Memory: 512 MB of 1T-SRAM (700 MHz)
• Physics Processing Unit with 32 MB of dedicated RAM, which will link to the CPU and GPU.
• Separate sound card that will support only DD 5.1 – DTS 7.1. Rumors of it having 16 MB like the GameCube DSP have been flying around.
