This is probably the most innovative sex toy to come out in a long time, I wonder if this was made by a trapeze performer. Basically think of a trampoline, now cut a hole in it, try to think of as many creative ways to have sex, and you got the body bouncer. You knew these would pop up sooner or later, a café that has a mounted PSP to every table. I imagine you can ask the café for a selection of UMD’s to watch, or you could bring your own. Somehow this seems more like a giant Sony PSP advertising campaign rather than a theme for a cafe. However I do wonder if they got some of that UMD porn for your viewing pleasure at this cafe? For me, the jury is still out on this one. I don’t know if it looks comfortable or not. If definitely looks pretty cool but comfort may be an issue with pieces of wood that are knitted together. DUDE that’s like way rad! This X-game sounding idea actually has a very practical application. With 98.2% of the worlds good traveling by ocean freighters you can imagine that there are quite a few ships at sea. 98% of these ocean ships are Diesel powered and burned through 25 billion Euros of fuel in 2002. This new Sky Sails system will basically be able to halve fuel consumption of freighters. That’s a lot of fuel money saved and for all you tree hugging hypocritical hippies I’m sure that its really good for the environment. Read more here (via: Gizmag)
Japan is either the land of the over engineering or lazy ass people. When you have to design and engineer a machine to wash and clean humans that’s really messed up. This isn’t meant to be used in some medical way for people that for one reason or another have difficulty taking there own baths, no this is some beauty treatment thing with a variety of modes, Body Shampoo & Shower, Infrared Heat & Steam, Sound Therapy, Aromatherapy, Seaweed Pack, Body Lotion, and finally Machine (MACHINE!?!?!, this one I don’t get, maybe something was lost in translation) Anyhow read more here and a poorly translated user report here. The last time I blogged about this mixer, it was just a concept. Numark now plans to release this mixer in the third quarter of 2006 for around the price of US $399. Now originally I’d said that I really want one of these, now I’m not so sure, as one of my DJ friends pointed out to me, there is no pitch control for songs being played by the iPod. If there is no pitch control there is almost NO POINT in mixing. This is all of course unconfirmed speculation but from the photos I can’t see how the mp3’s would change pitch and nor have I read anything about pitch control, it would be really lame if it automatically beatmatched. This sounds like a really cool interface alternative to mouse and keyboard. The TactaPad uses a combination of force feedback touch pad and camera that outlines your hands to create a new interface alternative. This might be the closest thing we get to the interface gloves that Tom Cruise uses in Minority Report. Basically you can see your hands on the screen so it quite easy to move your mouse pointer and trace objects you’re interested in interfacing with. Once you want to execute a command you press down on the tactapad which acts as a giant touch screen. The only difference is that the tactapad responds to multiple points of contact and provides some force feedback to give users some sense tactile sense to whatever they are doing. At the moment this is still a concept item and doesn’t seem to be available yet. Could this be the revolution in interface with computers?
