MP3 celebrates its Tenth Anniversary

 

July 14th 2005 marked the tenth year from which researchers at Fraunhofer Institude for Inegrated Circuits IIS decided to use “.mp3” as the file extension for a new audio compression.  Imagine if we never had MP3, we’d be seeing a lot less or maybe even NO iPods on the street.  10 years!!! Wow doesn’t feel like its been around 10 years. (via:slashdot)
