Hitachi has a new computer display mirror out which will be available on
September 30th. The mirror
combines a half mirror and diffusion film that can directly display digital
information on the mirror surface using an LCD projector. The miragraphy also uses RFID readers, barcode
readers and cameras to help analyze who is standing in front of the mirror and
then display appropriate information based on the sensed identities. Did anyone else read that last paragraph and
think WTF, let me point out the CAMERAS bit. So basically the Japanese have a new mirror that might be put anywhere
like lets say a change room, a camera inside filming a girl change then what
breast enlargement and dieting ads show up on the mirror surface?? This is one of those cool ideas that also
sounds so wrong when you really think about it. Check out the Hitachi
