If you watched the spandex version of Batman from the 60’s you’ll know all about the Shakespeare bust. Tilt back the head of Shakespeare hit the switch and the bookshelf moved away to reveal the bat poles! Well now you can have your very own switch! What you can use it for I have no idea, seeing as most of use aren’t millionaires with secret identities. I suppose if you’re some rich bachelor geek, you could hide a bar or a pop out bed in your living room. But something tells me no girl will be impressed, or probably won’t even know what gave you such a stupid idea. This bust isn’t cheap either $300 USD, check it out here (via: Engadget)

It seems my beloved Nintendo is reporting a 78.5% loss in operating profits for the quarter ending June 30th. Despite the popularity of the DS, Gamecube and probably even GameBoy haven’t done as well. I suppose one of the ways Nintendo is going to try and make up the profit is by selling lots of toys to fanboys like me. Pity that this set of key chains won’t do enough to make Nintendo the giant it once was. Still these keychains are cool check them out here (via: Gizmodo, Slashdot)

It seems that the word Virgin is off limits
for anyone in the world but Virgin Enterprise. A company called virginthreads.com is being sued by Virgin for the use
of virgin in the company name. The owner
of the site is being sued for infringement and for cybersquatting for the use
of the word virgin. Wow this sounds
really lame, and on top of that who knew you could get sued for buying a domain
name, guess you can’t buy domain names to sell anymore huh. Read more here (via: Boing Boing)

This is a cleaver idea. Everyone likes interesting ice cubes, but these cylinders are by the far the most interesting looking, and potentialy most practical. No more stuffing your warm bottle of whatever into the freezer, then drinking slushie for the next 2 hours. Just pop in a few of these ice cylinders and your bottled drink should be cool in no time. Ottawa-based company DNA11 has created a rather cool and personal art for its clients. DNA11 takes pictures of human and non human DNA and using a series of filters effects create an interesting art piece. Its really abstract but somehow it has a more interesting meaning than most abstract art. If you want this personal art work done, be prepared to spend a fair amount, prices range from $800-1800 (USD) depending on the size of art requested. If your interested check out DNA11 here. Seems ever since the GTA:SA hot coffee sex scandal, the American Government has been going nuts throwing up all sorts of bans right left and centre . I just hope the game industry doesn't get crushed as a result, its unfortunate that Rockstar such a great development house decided to put in such a tasteless easter egg. I mean its funny to watch and all but did they really not think of what could happen?? If you haven't been following this whole hot cofee scandal, you really should check out Kotaku who have been covering the whole sex in videogames scandal. I do think we need a movie like rating system for games, I just hope that the Government doesn't try to destroy the game industry in a personal crusade for fame. I mean really do you really think that some Congress person cares if your kid plays sexually explicit games, I mean really care, beyond the PC answer? No I doubt it.

For a while now Oakley have been trying to somehow break into the tech market with hybrid sunglasses such as the Thump which is sunglasses and mp3 in one. Now they’ve gone and released the Razrwire. This thing looks dreadful but it supports Bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2, and has an insane talktime of 500 hours and a standby of 1000 hours. Now I’m all for gadgets with crazy battery life but this thing is just too damn ugly, its one of those not so great ideas that just don’t work but hey at least you can look like an idiot for 500 hours, if your into Bluetooth headsets you should probably pass on this one.
