Waseda university engineers and a Japanese company called ‘tmsuk’, the Wl-16rII
does exactly what its name says which is climb stairs. Developed for people restricted to wheel
chairs or with movement disabilities, the unit will go on sale in 2010, is
capable of handling most regular stairs and can be programmed for just regular
