Masahide Kaneko is developing a new anti blink technology for digital cameras that he hopes will be available for the commercial market in 2 years. The basic idea is that the camera will take 15 frames in the half second you take your shot and just weed out the shots with blinks using some complex recognition software. Developers are hoping that it can even be effective for group photos that are as large as 30 people! Anti red-eye, anti blink, soon we’ll have anti-zit and anti- bad hair day! More details here.
